“As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” Inspired by this quote from Marianne Williamson, Felicia Verna has made it her mission to Enlighten, Uplift, and Motivate others. As a model, stylist, educator, blogger, and creative director of Ellure Zion, Felicia embodies the meaning of true virtue, aligning her work with everything she believes in.
1. What is EllureZion?
Ellure Zion is a Creative Directing/Life Style company that specializes in fashion, beauty, art and entertainment that originally started out as a blog in 2009. Since its establishment, I have gone on to work with influential people and companies such as Mikki Taylor, Bethenny, Chrisette Michelle, Cover Girl, NBC, VH1 and more.
2. I love the tagline: Enlighten, Uplift, and Motivate. What has inspired you to encourage others in this way?
There is simply not enough outlets that promote positivity. Rather than be a source of negativity or gossip, I decided to follow my instincts and pursue what I feel is my purpose in life. We all need someone to enlighten us in order to succeed in the game of life. When you’re down you may need someone to encourage and uplift your spirits and when we are lost we may need motivation to find our way. How we live our lives affects everyone because we are one. There is a niche for all three entities and that is the void that I am going to fill. The only thing that matters in the end is what you did with your time while you were here.
3. What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to continue to pursue endeavors in the fashion, beauty and entertainment industry through my areas of interest – Modeling, Creative Directing, Broadcast Journalism and Styling.
4. What are your dreams/aspirations?
I always daydream about seeing myself or my work featured on every major television station, billboard ad campaigns and major magazines such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Maxim, Elle, Essence, Ebony and Vanity Fair. My aspirations are to build a solid brand to not sell but, pass on. Also, I aspire to have a nationally syndicated show.
5. So, what is your favorite Outre product?
This is my first time using Outre products. I used the Simply Brazilian Natural Wave 18″ and 16″. The hair felt very soft and blended well with my own hair. I decided to give this product a try after spending countless hours online looking for hair. I found that many companies use the same celebrity bundle pictures rather than invest in their marketing, and in addition, use false advertisements saying the hair is real, when it is not. These factors do not convince me as a consumer. If you cannot invest in your own products why should I spend my time and money to try it?
Love this woman and this article. Very inspiring and positive . We need more like her . I wish you continued success Felicia Verna.
