Step 1: Measure the weft.
For a customized, comfortable fit, begin by measuring your head where you will want to place the tracks, and cut accordingly.
Our suggested lengths:
1 piece of 5” above the nape area
1 piece of 9” from ear-to-ear
2 pieces of 4” for each side
2 pieces of 1.5” to fill-in

Step 2 (Optional): Glue the weft
For extra fullness, we recommend gluing two tracks together. Apply a small amount of the glue directly onto the weft of one track. Wait a few minutes for the glue to set. Attach the piece with the glue onto the corresponding piece right under the track at the “roots.” Press on both pieces so that they are firmly attached to each other.

Step 3: Select the clips.
Map out where on the track you will want to attach the clips. Using different sized clips (medium and large), decide which ones you will use for which track.
Our suggestion:
3 large clips for the 5” track above the nape area
4 large clips for the 9” track from ear-to-ear
3 medium clips for each of the 4” tracks on each side
1 large clip for each of the 1.5” tracks to fill-in

Step 4: Sew the clips onto the tracks.
Now, it’s time to sew! Make sure that you sew the clips on with the teeth/combs facing towards you. Insert the needle through the top left hole, and sew it at least 5-10 times so that it’s secure, continue sewing along the top of the clip so that it stays in place, and sew through the top right hole at least 5-10 times until it’s secure. Don’t forget to knot the thread securely when you are finished.

And voila! You now have your own set of custom-fitted clip-in hair extensions!
