With two years of experience under her belt, she has quickly been growing a following of fashion & beauty-loving fans. Through her channel, TheHeartsandCake90, she hopes to share her passion for hair and thrifting, while also educating her fans on how to be a smart shopper.

Why did you decide to start a YouTube channel?
Well, I had been watching wig reviews long before I decided to make videos. I watched so many and thought “Hey, I can do that,” and so I did. I feel like even though there are other ladies on YouTube who review wigs, we all have our own style, delivery, and opinion, so I wanted to share my perspective as well.
How do you select the wig that you’re going to review?
I usually go with what I think would fit me best. I love to try different textures and colors. It really depends on my mood. One day I may feel like something long and straight, the next [day] I may want something with a lot of curls. I also watch other wig reviews and look at pictures from different wig groups on Facebook. They’re really helpful.
What do you love most about being a vlogger?
I love being able to help other people out there get a good idea of what to expect before they go out and buy something. I also enjoy sharing affordable ways to look nice. Whether that’s with hair or with my thrifted finds videos. So far I’ve had a lot of positive feedback and energy from my subscribers, and I think that’s awesome.
What do you hope to accomplish through your channel?
I hope to continue to make great videos and grow my audience of course. I also want my channel to further highlight ways to be a smart shopper all around, and I hope to incorporate more art and makeup in my channel. So many possibilities. I’m just excited about the things that are to come.
Which Outre wig is your favorite so far? Why?
So far my favorite Outre wig is the Natural Yaki 18. It’s a fairly new wig, but I’ve really been enjoying it. I have the color DRB30/1 and the color is beautiful. I love the texture of the wig and the luster is very realistic. I also love the length of it. It’s a good everyday wig.
How do you spend your free time when you’re not making YouTube videos?
I spend a lot of my time with my family and my boyfriend. I also enjoy art a lot so I’m likely to be painting or drawing. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE thrifting. I think I love thrift shopping as much as I love hair.
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I see myself married with a family, [and] a nice house. I’ll be teaching art, with a successful YouTube channel, hopefully making a name for myself not only with my YouTube channel, but with my artwork. I also hope to be very spiritually grounded and stable.
