How should you prep your hair for crochet braids?
Before attempting to install crochet braids, you should protect your [own] hair first. I recommend a protein treatment, followed by a deep moisturizing treatment prior to installation. This [will] prevent your hair from breaking and drying out while you’re wearing the protective style.
What are some tips for maintaining crochet braids during hot summer months?
Crochet braids are very easy to maintain during the summer months. All you have to do is shake, fluff and go.
- Depending on the type of hair used you can easily revive crochet braids by co-washing the hair.
- Allow the hair to air dry.
- Never forget to moisturize your scalp
- Crochet braids don’t need any heavy oils, so I would recommend spraying a braid spray to give it some shine.
- At night, you can also pineapple your hair so the curls remain intact.
How long can you leave crochet braids in for?
Crochet braids can last for a few weeks or even a month. It all just depends on how you take care of them.

How would i maintain the peruvian bundle bulk hair for the summer and what hair products would you recommend to keep it looking fresh ?
Since it’s a synthetic item, we would not recommend using a lot of products on the hair. If you feel like the hair starts to look a little old or dry, simply spray the hair with water. You could also use a wig spray, but keep it minimal.
