Pastel colors are soft and creamy, and what we love most about them is that they’re bold, but not overpowering. It’s the perfect medium between rich, strong colors and plain, basic ones. It’s fun and flirty, but still super chic and stylish. With the launch of our newest addition to our Velvet Remi Tara collection, we just had to show off the hair in the most eye-catching, dazzling way. So, we decided to use our almost-white DR613 coloration, and have fun with pastels.
Read on to learn how to create this gorgeous lavender pastel coloration…
What you will need:
- Velvet Remi Tara 4-6-8
- Color Dye
- Foil
- Spray Bottle
- Conditioner
- Mixing Bowl & Brush
Step 1
Take the 8” hair and half of the 6” hair, and lay the hair down on foil. Spray the hair with clean water so that it is slightly damp.
*Leave some 8” hair (approximately a 10” long weft) on the side for a later step using a darker purple dye.
Step 2
Squeeze a lavender color dye into the mixing bowl and mix it with conditioner (40% color dye and 60% conditioner) thoroughly.
Step 3
Using a dye brush, apply the lavender color mix to the Velvet Tara 8” hair. Make sure the mix is applied evenly and thoroughly throughout the hair strands.
Step 4
For the Velvet Tara 6” hair, apply the lavender color mix only to the tips of the hair. Wrap both sets of hair tightly with foil and leave it for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Using a darker purple color dye, repeat Steps 2 & 3 to the leftover 8” hair. Wrap the hair tightly with foil and leave it for 30 minutes. Afterwards, shampoo the hair in lukewarm or cool water, and apply a deep conditioning treatment for 10 to 15 minutes, and rinse well.
Step 6
Lay the hair on a towel to air dry completely. Do not hang the wet hair to dry.
