Highlighter
A face full of makeup at an all day festival is less than ideal. The heat, the sun and the humidity definitely will make for a melted face situation. Going light on your beat with a tinted moisturizer or even a bb cream is key, but in order to keep your face poppin’ in all your selfies and other festival pics, a good highlighter is really all you need. Make sure to carry a small amount, or even an all in one option for glowy touch-ups when the sweat starts to make an appearance.
Rose Water
Since you’ll likely be in the sun all day, a good way to stay moisturized without reapplying lotion is by carrying a small spray bottle full of rose water. By misting yourself periodically throughout the day, this will keep your hair, skin and face moisturized and you won’t be miserably dry.
Hair ties + Bobby Pins
Sweaty hair isn’t cute – especially when you’re walking around all day. So, to keep it out of your face and off of your neck, make sure you bring extra hair ties and bobby pins along with you. These also come in handy when you want to change your look at the last-minute.
Pro-tip: Get clear elastic bands as this won’t clash with the colors/theme of your overall outfit.
Brush
Sometimes you’re going to need a little extra help getting the hair out of your face, bring a brush. You’ll thank us later.
Sunglasses
The best part about outdoor festivals? Sunnies! Sunglasses are so fun to add to your look, but also necessary to keep your eyes safe while partying all day. Protect your eyes and your rep with your favorite pair of sunglasses.
Sunscreen
This one should go without saying as it is one of the most important things you need to have with you whenever you go outside – SUNSCREEN. We get it, you don’t want to smell like a swimming pool, but there are plenty of new options now that are lighter, not as thick, and won’t make you look ashy. Healthy skin is sexy skin – don’t forget to pack your sunscreen.
Water
This is by far the most important “beauty” item on this list, and more than likely the most overpriced item at music festivals – water. Staying hydrated will keep you looking and feeling fresh from the inside-out, all day and all night long.
External Battery
This should go without saying, but external chargers are going to be your BFF on festival day. Sure, there are charging posts set up at events now, but who wants to stand and watch their phone charge for an hour? You’ll be missing all of the fun and all of the memories you could be capturing! Or worse – what if you get separated from your group? Luckily you can buy an external charger anywhere electronics are sold, and they are super affordable and also stylish. Make sure to charge yours fully before heading out and don’t miss a thing!
