We had a chance to interview this rising YouTube star, and asked her all about her life as a vlogger as well as her predictions for upcoming winter hair trends. Read on to learn more about her.
Why did you decide to start a YouTube channel?
I got started as a YouTube vlogger [after] my senior prom [when] I found this affordable company that I wanted to tell people about. I was known as the girl in school who always had her hair done, so I decided to make a video channel to help girls find affordable hair for events like prom, etc.
Now that you’ve been vlogging for about a year or so, what is your favorite part about it?
The thing I love most about being a vlogger is the messages I get from people who watch my videos. I love knowing I’m impacting people, and being a motivation to young women to follow their dreams.
Who’s your style icon and where do you get your hair inspiration from?
I don’t really have one particular style icon. If I had to pick though, it would be Heather Sanders. [And] as far as hair inspiration, I don’t know lol. I just do whatever comes to my mind. I kind of do my own thing when it comes to my hair.
What is your #1 maintenance tip for hair?
My top maintenance tip for hair is to always keep your hair moisturized, and [to] treat it as if it was your natural hair.
What hair trends and colors do you predict will be popular this winter?
I think the hair trend and colors that will be popular will be caramel browns, reds, and burgundy colors. As far as hairstyles, I think the half up/half down will still be popular. Also, I’ve noticed bangs are coming back, so that may be in for this winter [as well].
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see myself done with college and hopefully opening my own hair business and also working on my other dream which is being an RN.
